The Foundation for the Training and Protection of Mentally Handicapped Children (ZİÇEV) was established in 1982 and strives to meet the educational and future needs of mentally handicapped children throughout Turkey in a sustainable way. This web site provides you with detailed information on the goals and activities of our Foundation. Your donations are extremely important for our Foundation to sustain and improve its services and we thank you on behalf of all our children for your help. Equally important are our volunteers as they enable us to extend our reach and increase our effectiveness.

If you have a mentally handicapped child, or if you just found out that your baby will be mentally handicapped for any reason, do not despair. In its central headquarters and numerous branches throughout the country, our foundation extends its educational services to close to two thousand mentally handicapped children nationwide. Having started from scratch, this was made possible primarily with the help and support of parents and volunteers. Join our efforts and help us extend our reach even further.
