06 March 2007 : Two Happy News from our Kayseri Branch
Nimet Çelikoyar donated a school building to our Kayseri Branch
The administrators of the Kayseri Branch have been in sorrow until today, because of the struggle our volunteers were going through for lack of a special school building of our own. The training and rehabilitation services had been carried on in a rental building. Their sadness has finally come to an end.
A great human being and humanitarian Nimet Çelikoyar has donated a roughly finished building, completed by himself in the name of his father Ali Çelikoyar, to the Foundation for education of mentally handicapped children from Kayseri.
The building is on the Germir road, 8 km from the city centre, on a land of 3414 m2 and utilazes 772 m2 of space.
The Foundation family has welcomed this significant donation with gratitude. The Kayseri Branch Chairman Süleyman Sağlam and the members of administrative committee have now gained new potentials and have already started to speed up the efforts to complete the building, to have have it ready for education and teaching as soon as possible. The Mayor of Metropolitan area Attorny Mehmet Özhaseki and Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç have also offered their help and contributions. Also the humanitarian businessmen from Organised Industry have promised to contribute to the building of one classroom each.
We would like to express our gratitude primarily to the noble hearted beneficent Nimet Çelikoyar and to all the other humanitarians who gave their support to complete this building.
Great achievements of the sportsmen of the Kayseri Branch
On February 23, 24, and 25, 2007, ski competitions were held in Erciyas for the Mentally Handicapped of Turkey. Our sportsmen have delighted us with medals: gold medal Ceylan Eser, silver medals Mustafa Aslan and Melek Ezgi Eren.
The Garrison Commander, along with his wife, and the 2. HIBM have donated their support and involvement in providing the ski outfits and the ski equipment for our sportsmen, for their training and the competitions, on the Erciyes Mountain. We would like to thank cordially to the Erciyes Military Club Administrators who helped our children, as well as their Commander for his permission and order for this generous action.
We embrace our successful sportsmen with love and congratulate them from our hearts.
